Leek Auctions
A very busy day at Leek Market including the exceptional herd dispersal of dairy cattle on behalf of Ricky Jones of Tamworth which sold on an excellent trade with buyers in attendance from various parts of the country.

A quieter day at Leek with the wet weather returning. The sheep shed saw a solid trade throughout the sections, with 97 Spring lambs forward selling to 360p/kg and averaged £124.71 per head, with best hoggs to 265p/kg and £147.90 per head.

A buoyant trade in the dairy section today with a top of £2220 for a Wintersell Milo daughter from Andrew Stone of Onecote with Pedigree Limousin stock bulls selling very well to top at £2960.

A busy sheep section today with the Spring Show & Sale of Spring Lambs. These were judged by Mr Lee Machin, with RG & AS Williamson taking Champion lambs selling to 485p/kg (£184.30) to Manifold Valley Meats.

A quiet day at Leek as expected following the Easter weekend, but a good show in the Barren section with a pleasing entry and a brisk trade throughout, topping at 145p/kg to average 111.08p/kg.
