Leek Auctions

Dairy Reports

A fantastic trade at the monthly pedigree sale at Leek saw plenty of both cows and heifers £1800 plus despite limited quality on offer.

A lovely herd of cows from James Woodward and family of Mapperley, Derbyshire drew a strong crowd of buyers with trade topping at £2150 with others to £2040, £2000 and £1960.

A good show of quality dairy cattle in today and a solid trade throughout.

A buzzing day in the dairy shed yesterday saw a healthy entry of 42 commercial milkers along with the dispersal sale on behalf of the Fletcher family of Ashby Magna, Leicestershire.

Four animals reached the £1800 mark today, two heifers and a cow in the Pedigrees and a lovely Shorthorn second calver in the commercial section.
